Where Have I Been?

I know it's been a very long time since I last posted and the promised pictures never came, but no one really reads this so it doesn't really matter much anyways. I have been busy with school and work. I am taking 20 credits this quarter, have 3 research projects plus a bunch of other papers and projects due. I am swamped in writing. Work is basically the same old. Still fun though. Nothing much new except the Olympics are in full swing now. Not so surprisingly for me, the borders have been completely empty. Everyone was all worked up about it, but it's been totally fine and I expect it to stay that way. I think there's a possibility of it being a bit more backed up in the days after the Olympics, but not much. I'm not a huge fan of the Olympics, but I would like to say that the USA is once again in the lead for overall medals. (cough cough) :P

Life is going on, God's answering prayers, I'm falling more and more in love with Him. I've made a few drastic realizations but things are still going the same, no major changes yet.

Oh, I totally forgot.....it's practically Spring time here! You wouldn't believe it unless you were here. While the rest of the country and a good portion of the world is suffering under feet of snow (all thanks to that Global Warming I'm told), we here in the Pacific Northwest are enjoying surprisingly Springtime weather. Temperatures up to about 60 have already been had. The sun has been very present. These two have caused flowers and vegetation to grow. Trees are blooming already. Flowers are sprouted and starting to bloom. It's totally crazy, but fabulous. I've been praying for nice weather since last year and I think God is granting us a gorgeous year because of our horrid summer last year (it was nearly non-existent). Unfortunately, that means there is no snow for the Olympics and the mountains have had to make some adjustments. Kind of funny, both times Canada has hosted the winter Olympics, the weather has been terrible. Makes me think they are not meant to have them.

Ok, enough rambling. If anyone reads this, I hope you have a fabulous rest of your February!

Color Career Counselor

I found this on MSN the other day and decided to take the test, not thinking much of it. I was shocked to see how accurate the results were.

The Dewey Color System® is now the world's most accurate career testing instrument.
This report based on your personality traits indicates your two most enjoyable day-day-day occupation skills. It’s a summary of the full report, the Color Leadership Evaluation 5.0.

“Studies indicate workplace enjoyment is the key to success. So as you read, consider only “Was I mostly having fun at work?” Disregard your present and past employer’s environment.

Best Occupational Category

You're an ORGANIZER (Oh so true. :P)

Keywords

Self-Control, Practical, Self-Contained, Orderly, Systematic, Precise, and Accurate

These conservative appearing, plotting-types enjoy organizing, data systems, accounting, detail, and accuracy. They often enjoy mathematics and data management activities such as accounting and investment management. Persistence and patience allows them to do detailed paperwork, operate office machines, write business reports, and make charts and graphs. (I do things like this a lot.)

ORGANIZER CAREERS
Suggested careers are Administrator, Secretary (I do this at the SO), Printer, Paralegal, Building Inspector, Bank Cashier, Private Secretary, Statistician, Operations Manager, Financial Analyst, Bookkeeper, Medical Records Technician, Developer of Business or Computer Systems, Clerical Worker, Proofreader (Love doing this), Accountant, Administrative Assistant, Banker, Certified Public Accountant, Credit Manager, Store Salesperson, Actuary, Dental Assistant, Business Education Teacher, Food Service Manager, IRS Agent, Budget Analyst, and Underwriter.

ORGANIZER WORKPLACES
Your very careful, conscientious, conservative nature gives others the confidence to trust you with handling money and material possessions. Structured organizations that have well-ordered chains of command work best for you. (Yes to these.)

Suggested Organizer workplaces are large corporations, business offices (Currently work in one of these), financial lending institutions, banks, insurance companies, accounting firms, and quality control and inspection departments.

2nd Best Occupational Category

You're a DOER (Not bragging, but someone told me I was this the other day. I like to do things, not wait.)

Keywords:

Emotionally Stable, Reliable, High Energy, Practical, Thrifty, and Persistent (Mostly all true.)

These adventurous types prefer action-oriented, concrete problems rather than dealing with thought-provoking, ambiguous, abstract dilemmas. Fields of interest include mechanical, construction, and outdoor careers. They might also enjoy working with machines, tools, and equipment to repair or build something. (These fit too. I'm a good mix of this plus the first one.)
